The OR nurse shall OR nurse duties required for the Government, at the 3rd Medical Operations Squadron, Elmendorf Air Force Base Hospital. Contractor shall furnish all labor, management, supervision, teaching, consultations and reports. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in this Appendix, and professional standards of the Joint Commission.
The Health Care Professional (HCP) must be knowledgeable about a wide-range of directives and policies governing perioperative care. This position requires the effective deployment of assessment, interpretation, monitoring, analytical and evaluation skills. The incumbent must be able to recognize both subtle and overt changes to the patient’s condition which may require emergency intervention and to anticipate and handle unexpected occurrences. This position requires prompt and clinically accurate decisions regarding the management of life-threatening conditions the incumbent must be able to respond promptly and with good judgment.
OR Nurse Requirements
• AA or Bachelors of Nursing
• A minimum of two years experience in the OR
• A valid Nursing license
